Hyunjoon Yoo (A.I.A.) is a professor in the Department of Design at Hongik University, and a CEO of Space Consulting Group and Principal at Hyunjoon Yoo Architects. He graduated from Yonsei University with a BA in architecture and continued his studies at MIT and Harvard University where he received an M. Arch degree, and an M. Arch with Distinction.
After graduating from Harvard University, he worked for Richard Meier & Partners Architects. Since establishing his own firm, Space Consulting Group and Hyunjoon Yoo Architects, Yoo has been recognized as an award-winning architect, receiving numerous awards such as Kim Swoo Keun Architectural Preview Award, Korean Architecture Best 7, Young Architects Award, and Korean President Award for Architecture Space. His book, 『What Cities live by』 has become a bestseller.
